Unleash the True Potentials: Be the Best Version of Yourself

Spider-Man/ Bat-Man/Ant-Man. Whose fan are you? Have you noticed that all of these men have one thing in common? A power. A superpower that has helped them to stand out from the crowd of ordinary people. You can be the same if you become the best version of yourself.

If I tell you that you are an owner of some equal superpowers like them, will you believe me? You certainly will, after perusing this article. Let’s see why-

You might have heard about Abraham Maslow. He has presented the all-time famous “Hierarchy of Needs” theory. In 1943, he published a book named “A Theory of Human Motivation”, where he divided all of the needs of human beings into 5 categories.

This theory is one of the most used, talked-about theories that people from a variety of disciplines have been using until now.

Well, no need to be afraid of. We are not going to give you a class lecture on that. Mark my words beforehand, this theory can change your life entirely. And also the thought process about yourself.

So, let’s jump into the hole of our concern.

As you know we have different types of needs in our life. From eating, sleeping to the desire of being respected, all of these are our needs. But above all the needs a human will desire for in his life, there is the greatest one.

The one that is the reason why some people are extremely successful in their lives and some are not. This is the reason why some people outlive others and become immortal. This theory is also known as the “Self-actualization” need theory.

What does Becoming The Best Version of Yourself or Self-Actualized Person Mean?

According to Abraham Maslow, only 2 people among a thousand, might feel this need in them.

The need to find their true self. But the rest of the people don’t even realize that they have a need like that. That is why only a few chosen ones become enormously successful in their field.

Each human is born with some inborn talents, but very few realize the importance to discover them and nourish them. Your mission is to find what your innate calibers are and start acting upon them.

If you have been successful in achieving what you wanted to achieve, you will be known as a self-actualized person.

Now, the question is how can you become the best version of yourself or a self-actualized person. Here is our answer –

#1Dispersing the old personality –

Once you made up your mind to welcome your best self, it is time to say goodbye to your old one. Embracing the new is something always hard, but you must be mentally prepared.

On the other hand, it is quite obvious that your old self will try to resist this novelty. But don’t let this resistance sweep away your determination to be the best version of yourself.

#2Coming out of the comfort zone –

Your comfort zone makes you feel much more secure and protected. But this also holds you back from taking any risks in life. It doesn’t let you break your limits or see how far you can go.

Michael Phelps, Who doesn’t know him, right? He is an American former competitive swimmer and the most successful Olympian of all time. All-time Olympic gold medals record, he carries.

When Phelps was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) in the sixth grade.

It is a very complex disease for which he suffered a lot but did not think about giving up. And now the result is in front of the whole world.

#3Learning to enjoy one’s own company –

From poetry to scientific innovation, all of these great work requires solitariness. You should be careful in terms of how you are spending your time.

And also with whom you are spending your time. A good company undoubtedly delivers lots of opportunities. On contrary, a bad company might take away a lot. But spending most of the time as a reclusive will help you to focus on the mission of your life.

#4Ready to accept the failure-

Success and failures are two integral parts of life. That is why failure is said to be the pillar of success. This journey of becoming the best version of yourself isn’t that easy. You will definitely face lots of difficulties out there. But a strong, unbreakable attitude can break any distressing cycle.

#5Ready to endure pain and Hardship-

No pain, no gain. Becoming the best version of yourself is the highest gain for any person in his life. As a result, you will have to invest the last drop of your energy towards your goal. This path that leads to ultimate success isn’t easy at all.

You will have to go beyond your boundaries, break your preconceptions. Transform your pain into your power, your hedges into your happiness.

Let me give you an anecdote.

A young woman was facing some trouble in her life. So, she went to her mother and told her about how hard life was for her. Listening to this, her mother took her to the kitchen. She took some carrots, eggs, and coffee beans into three bowls and start boiling them.

After 20 minutes, she turned off the oven. Next, she placed the carrots and eggs on a plate and the coffee in a mug. Then she told her to scrutinize them. Carrots, eggs, and coffee beans went through the same hardship but they reacted differently. Carrots were hard but anguish made them supple.

Eggs were fluid but torment made them hard. But the coffee beans are permeating aroma. They were solid but hardship made them bloom and flourish.

So, it depends on you whether you want to react like carrots or eggs or coffee beans when hardship hits you. When things are at their worst, you get better and better with them.

When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, elevate yourself to another level. This is how you can step into the best version of yourself.

#6Dignify the small achievements-

Our brains have been created in such a way that we prefer observing our accomplishments, apparently. Even in case of a tiny success, celebrate it. This will ignite the spirit within you, boost your confidence.

Do you know what’s the biggest truth of life is? Death. No matter when/how/where you have been born, you will die. Sooner or later, today or tomorrow. But you can choose to be immortal through your work.

People like Abraham Lincoln, William Shakespeare, Rabindranath Tagore, Albert Einstein have died long ago. But they are still living among us and perhaps will live till the apocalypse.

This is because they were self-actualized people. They identified their strengths and made the best of them. And this practice made them immortal in history.

Life is nothing but a beautiful gift. But unfortunately, most of the people fail to recognize it that way. They fail to ascertain what their gift is, let alone utilize it.

Trust me one person is enough to change history. So, try to reinvent or become the best version of yourself. Who knows maybe you are going to be the next game-changer!!!
